This project is Maryland’s first-of-its-kind zero-energy, mixed-use development, featuring ground-floor commercial space with residential apartments above. The 17,000-square-foot project represents a $5.1 million investment in sustainable, community-centered development. Ground-level commercial tenants are offered a first right of refusal for the apartments above, promoting local business stability and live-work opportunities. To prevent displacement and ensure long-term affordability, half of the residential units are capped at 50% of Area Median Income (AMI) for a 30-year period. The development is supported by three separate grant awards, reflecting strong public and institutional backing.
