Waverly Teachers Eco Village

This project transforms a vacant, formerly city-owned school building into 37 one-bedroom apartments reserved for teachers, para-educators, and other professionals in the education field. Approximately half of the one-acre site is dedicated to a community park, reflecting a core priority expressed by neighborhood residents. The park will include a pavilion and open green space, with perpetual public access ensured as part of the development. A rooftop solar array of approximately 100 kW supports the building’s goal of achieving zero-energy performance. The project represents an $8 million total development investment that combines workforce housing, sustainability, and community amenities.
